Didn't you hear? Halo 4 and 5 are confirmed non-canon because they weren't made by their original creators.

You can probably get it on Amazon for like $20. There's like 25 people online worldwide, and you'd probably have to run the game in compatibility mode.

Pretty sure it's more or less the same group of people. There's been only like 2 servers active for the last few years, and one is just 24/7 Coagulation with modded plasma pistols that shoot wraith shots or something.

when i played h2 pc i had to get a special program to help it run on win7 because it was built for vista or something. i bought mine from best buy.

Yes, yes you would. The PC port of Halo 2 is garbage. The only person I can think of that actually plays it is Deci.

Well for one it's designed for Windows Vista; second, it runs on Games for Windows Live which is well known to be an awful service; third, there's not much improvement from the console version; fourth, the population is dead and only like 20 people get on a day to play it. If you have a good gaming PC then put the money forth for a decent game that's not a dead port of a console game from 2004.

The net coding is pretty bad, to the point where there is lead in even LAN matches (on top of a myriad of glitches present), and I recall something about the aim assist being even more powerful than on Xbox (I think it jams on even if you only use a Controller once?) A lack of Dedicated Server commands and reduced modding options vs. Halo CE has also lead to negative feedback.

None of it should be of any concern to you if you're just after a Campaign playthrough. The wiki informs me that it works with Vista, 7, 8 and 10 so you should be sweet.
