So with the year coming to a close, what's been your game of the year if you had to pick ONE? For me it has to be dragon age. Yes it even beat out dark souls and pokemon to me, and many of you know how big of a fanboy I am for those franchises.

This game successfully saved a franchise on the brink of being forgotten. Dragon age 2 was generally disliked by all and inquisition seemed to address almost all of fans complaints. Not to mention in a year of unfinished games this one seemed to Deliver all that was promised and more. It's scaled dwarfs skyrim (or at least it seems like it) and has so many features and quests it's almost daunting. sure it has flaws, such as the fact that everyone seems to lose their wedding ring and the best dialog in the game is banter between party members, but overall the game is fantastic.

So what's GOTY for you? Please pick one and don't turn this into a "list every game that came out this year" thread

Goty for me probably be Bravely Default. Though Transistor, infermous SS, and FFXIV were all close.
Still haven't played Persona Q or Far Cry 4 yet though.

Alien Isolation

I've had a lot of people tell me that game gets boring about half way through. How exactly does it work? It just seems like hiding from an alien over and over could get boring...

Yeah. Shadow of Mordor was really good too. Can't think of another game that gave me a rivalry of genuine hatred with a random npc. Nemesis system is legit.

Anyway the tactical view is good for the more complex fights and positioning archers and mages. Make sure you're using RT and not exiting the mode after you give commands, or they will ignore you, and after each attack or movement you have to give them a new command or they will do nothing or just use their "preferred" attacks

That's the thing, I stay in the mode, use RT to advance time, and suddenly they're all ganging up on one guy instead of fighting the enemies I chose them to attack.

I thought 1's combat  was kinda boring and never even played 2 because lemon told me not to
