You're right, I only listed the games which I played myself rather than the ones I read about online. I know worse games have been made like Ride To Hell or that indie wannabe Day-Z zombie game, but I would rather list games I have an experience playing rather than some random title somebody else played.

Bugs, poorly developed on original features, shite story, and even the graphics were questionably hazy for a PS3/'360 release.

Somehow by moving up a console gen it got downgraded as a game.

Honestly. There is no way to just pick one, or pick one that someone won't disagree with.

I can think of some horrible things that have happened this decade for gaming though. Buggy launches becoming regular, cut content(looking at you Destiny) and aggressive microtransactions are some of them.

However even then each of the games that I talk about have redeemable qualities. Halo 5 even with a small amount of content at launch and a horrible story had solid gameplay and an amazing forge when it launched. Plus continued support of the game...MCC had an amazing singeplayer in Halo 2 and 60fps for all games is pretty great.
Destiny may have had a shady and horrible launch it redeemed itself after The Taken King. Whichshouldhavebeentheamountofcontentatlaunch.
Battlefront had amazing visuals and DICE worked like hell to fix the buggy mess that was Battlefield 4. Mass Effect 3 was still great all around even with a shitty ending.

Many of the games people talk about have SOMETHING that redeems itself in some way.

Ride to Hell Retribution though....
