It'll have a big launch, the power of fanboys will power it for a few weeks, months at best.

Halo 5 should have story dlc. Raams Shadow for Gears of War 3 is a good example.

If it flops, I'm never buying another Halp game.

The franchise is most definitely in need of 'halp' right now.

I wonder when Halo will devolve into an entirely multiplayer game. No campaign, just episodic Spartan ops at most, and yearly releases with updated graphics and polished gameplay. Like Unreal Tournament or Madden games.

I hated the beta, Halo is basically dead to me.

Say what you will about Bungie, their decisions all make sense now. Destiny's multiplayer (at least it's gunplay) feels next gen. They understood Halo wasn't going to last and jumped ship at the right time.

I might buy 5 for the campaign, maybe. I'll enjoy MCC once customs pick up...if they do.

I feel the movement, abilities, gun variety, and social aspects take the FPS genre and mash it with new and addictive qualities. It's potential is much greater than old generation shooters. The evolution of COD and Halo (which is almost identical and getting to the point of being different skins) proves they are having difficulties grasping the bridge between old and new. I dunno, I don't see any creativity in Halo like I do in Destiny. Even if Bungie is going down a shit road it's obvious what they need to fix.

Either way, I'm going to play MCC much more than H5.

I think there was always be some semblance of a market for Halo even if 343 manages to completely alienate their hardcore fanbase. Despite the mediocrity that was Halo Reach, Halo 4 still did surprisingly well in sales, so obviously it's more than just original fans of the series playing the game.

I think Halo 5 has the potential to flop critically, but commercially speaking, that seems very unrealistic.
