1) You could just run up the stairs on all fours, like I do. Makes things much faster. 2) I think you're overestimating the amount of times a ball gets stuck on the roof. 3)And dunking is easy, just become black.

why is double jump such a popular mechanic in videogames anyway? Like where did that come from?

Actually did you know that double jump can save you from falls?

Jump off a skyscraper and double jump before you hit the ground.
