Well technically the FF creator made the movie which drove Square Soft into the ground. So they fired him and due to blowing so much money, had to merge with their rival company Enix. Bad blood with them.As for Uematsu, he still gets brought on to do work with Final Fantasy, such as the MMO FF 14.
