The title and the post are at odds. What you're saying is I should make a character that doesn't look like me; rather, I should make a person that has better features than I do so I can aspire to them (for some reason).
Your  pecs don't define you, so an improvement there isn't really gonna take away from you.

There's a quest where you abandon your child, so no. I think that doing so would only scar you further.
