Oh, did you see the leaked Halo 4 and 5? They are obviously greatly unfinished (Halo 4's MP is barely playable and Halo 5's story is obviously a placeholder until actual qualified writers get their hands on it) but you can see the drastic change of art direction and gameplay already visible. Would be cool to see them finish off the projects.

I never played the classic Halo games while the multiplayer community still was active, so I pretty much go by campaigns alone.

I would pick 3 over 2 if the net code wasn't a mess and the BR was hitscan. However, 2 wins for me. Then 3, then CE, then 4(hitscan BR redeems), Then Reach. Never played 5.

I think you guys are letting the nostalgia cover up shit like Standbying, super jumps, cheating, and that cliff hanger ending. 2 was by no means bad, but 3 was the most polished Halo game to date.

I'm not saying 3 was perfect, but it didn't have the most labor put into it with thought. There's too much wrong with Reach for it to stand as the best in the series with just its netcode. 3 rarely had balancing issues in its gameplay, and changes to balance was done scarcely but with good reason.

Halo 3 would be the best if it had a better netcode, that's what I'm saying. Halo 3 had it's balancing issues too like the AR/melee beatdown and having the shittiest Carbine in the series.
