In an apology to Halo fans that have been frustrated with Halo: The Master Chief Collection's persistent online multiplayer issues, 343 Industries' studio head Bonnie Ross has announced that Xbox One players who own the game will receive a number of freebies, including:1 month of Xbox Live GoldAn exclusive in-game NameplateAn exclusive in-game Avatar'Relic' Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer mapHalo 3: ODST campaignThe Halo 3: ODST single player campaign will actually be a remaster rather than a straight port:"Development has just started on the campaign for Halo 3: ODST, which will be available within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and upgraded to 1080p resolution, running at 60fps. It will be available for free to anyone who has played Halo: The Master Chief Collection since launch (11.11.14) through today (12.19.14)."The Relic multiplayer map will also be remastered in 1080p and 60 FPS.

ODST has no multiplayer, so the only teams that work on it are the campaign teams. This would affect nothing in multiplayer.
Do you want them to bring in Certain Affinity and Ruffian Games to work on updates too then?

So it can work, which doesn't mean that it would work to hand it over to other companies though.
