Most of us oldschool Halo players don't really like Halo 4 and 5, well, Halo 5 mainly. Though personally I'm not a fan of Halo 4, and I maybe the only person who would originally buy a Halo game to continue the story, multiplayer was always an added bonus for me. I didn't start buying a Halo game for multiplayer until Halo 4.

Will I buy Halo 6? That depends. Since 343 really fucked up with Halo 5's story, here's a small idea on how they can redeem themselves or the series, otherwise Xbox and Halo are done.

First things first, Cortana. Instead of her being the main villain of the game now, The Chief ends up capturing her via the chip and taking her back to Halsey, having her fixed to be freed from her corruption Or, if Cortana is really gone since Halo 4, then that wouldn't be Cortana but a rampancy clone of Cortana. That would make a fuck of a lot more sense than saying that's Cortana. I don't like how an intelligent AI character in the story has been reduced to nothing more but a total nuance. Even Bungie made this mistake in Halo 3 with Cortana appearing in your HUD. Like, I can understand having it happen once on the first mission, but to have it happen again and again and again. Its just unfortunate.

2nd: We've been to all these locations in Halo 4 and 5, and have had the Halo ring only mentioned a few times. Why not actually go back to oh gee I don't know:

I'd love to explore Installation 05 again, or what about the other Installations? 343 has so many Installations to work with. Going back on The Ark in Halo 3, when on the level on the covenant, if I counted correctly there are at least 9 Halo rings that exist. Any one those 9 could easily be used in the story. Maybe you go to Installation 03 or 01 or hell even 07 to pay an homage to old Bungie with their obsession with 7. The possibilities are endless.

Just with these alone could potentially setup the foundation for a decent story to salvage the franchise one last time. The Flood could make a comeback and be released from an Installation no one has set foot on yet. It isn't too late.

Sadly, they will never do this. Chances are Halo 6 is only going to be dumbed down ever further than Halo 5 already is, and I'm sure Microsoft doesn't want Halo to go back to be an M rated title.

Halo's 1-Reach are worth playing along with the anniversary editions of Halo CE and 2 compared to the shit known as 4, 5, and presumably 6.

Unless anyone has a better idea (believe me I'd love to hear it) that would salvage the franchise, this is really the only building blocks I can offer to 343 for a decent story.

Another thing I will never understand is why the actual fuck would 343 hire people who hate Halo? That's like hiring people into your pizza place who hate pizza, its gonna suck!

Anyway, so what do you think? Can Halo 6 possibly redeem itself  and the franchise if done right? Or is it too late? Oh and going back to the art style Bungie used would also be a huge plus with the decent story at best.

Hell that's not even a bad idea. I wouldn't mind a 3rd game to be made with Halo 3's engine even.

If they use and continue some of the story from HW2 it could turn out p 🔥. You’ve got a whole main series game’s worth of story in resolving the conflicts that went down there, let alone the void left to be filled by Halo 5’s cliffhanger.

At this point tons of AAA games are beyond redemption.
I just can’t with these things, I’d rather play Minecraft for fucks sake. MINECRAFT. But even then micro transactions are there, but hey at least they know what the hell to do when it comes down to it.

Yeah the state of the industry is so bad, I'd rather play on my RGH 360.

I'm setting up Xlink on my PC tomorrow so I can play online through that instead since Xbox Live with a Stealth Server is risky.

Halo 5 has nothing to go back to. It's kinda like CoD with power suits.

Same can be said with Halo 4 tbh.

-Declare everything made after Halo 3 shit fan fiction and not canon

-Delete armor abilities and sprint from the series

-Make the gameplay fast-paced exactly like Halo 2

-Have an actual ranking system day 1 of release

-Have a file share system that works day 1 of release

-Make armor unlocks via ranks and achievements

-No more weapons with different attachments

-Delete the DMR from the series

-Make vehicles beefy like how they were in Halo 2 and 3

-Ship the game with 15-20 maps and have variety from 4v4 to 8v8

-Have multiple Forge Worlds: Forge City, Forge Desert, Forge Snow, and Forge Forest

-Keep the Forge mode from Halo 5 but expand on it and make it even better

-Have the game have a easy to navigate and aesthetically appealing UI

-Bring back iconic sounds like the Ghost engine's hum, Warthog's engine roar, Banshee's screams, and have each weapon have their own unique sound when picking up ammo like the older Halo games

-Have game modes like Territories, Race, Assault(the REAL version), and one-sided modes like One Flag and One Bomb all come back

- One last thing, stop catering towards the "competitive" side of Halo that doesn't exist anymore instead of normal players. A game can be both casual and competitive if made correctly.

A combination of Halo 2 mechanics with Halo 3's. I like it.

If it wasn't for the false advertising, I would have loved Halo 5. But they made a very different game from the ads.
They should have showed the Warden more and less of Chief destroying human planets (never happened).


So as long as they are honest with the marketing and keep up the good work they did in H5, H6 has all the potential of being an excellent Halo game.

You can have your paper vehicles but I want my vehicle health depending on the operator's shields like how it used to be. You were able to take a Warthog that was on fire and nearly broken down and could still go on a tear with it in Halo 3.

Oh yeah, its the worst out of all Halos but at least we would have had correct expectations.
