Looks really cool. I'm happy to see them continuing to focus on local multiplayer and co-op. Using a single joycon seems kind of dumb, but it's interesting that it's at least a viable option for splitscreen that doesn't require buying an extra $60 controller. I'm curious if the grip comes included with the console, though since I'd use this entirely for home use I'd probably end up buying the pro controller, too.

Other thoughts:
-Didn't see a stylus (which is great)
-Games are cartridges which seem to be about the size of a GameBoy cartridge

I dont get the trailer, I personally know it's a home/handheld console but the trailer doesn't really highlight that it makes it look like a large tablet console you can dock

A console being able to work with a TV at home is nothing special, so it's understandable why they chose not to emphasize that aspect much. It's kind of a given that a new game console is going to work with you sitting on your couch at home.

If the games are on 3ds style cards does that mean the performance hardware is in the tablet? If so how does it run something like Skyrim? I'm not a fag that cares about graphics but tablet bound hardware means it'll run like a potato

I'm actually really surprised and a bit impressed. A third party friendly console that isn't super gimmicky. The only gimmicks are neat conveniences that don't detract from the console as a whole.

Skyrim is easily scaled to a platform's capabilities. It probably won't compare favorably to the X1 or PS4. And yeah, it does seem like the console and the tablet have separate hardware, i.e., the 'console' isn't just a dock for the tablet. I may be completely wrong, though, but it doesn't seem to be just streaming the video from the console to the gamepad like the Wii U does.

I hate disks--always have. So easy to damage. You can't even touch them without potentially scratching them.

Carts never had them problem. Also, faster startup and loading times--you know, that thing people whine about constantly.

I love them. They're really iconic to Nintendo and I always enjoyed having cases full of their little game cartridges as a kid.

Well this definitely limits the power of the console. I'm sure it'll be fine for Nintendo exclusives but I can't see this not holding back third-party developers.
