Chances are a UC Collection has been in the works for a while now.

Considering a large portion of the PS4 install base weren't PlayStation 3 owners last gen, and that it would make sense to match your competitor by putting a collection ofyour flagship franchise onto your latest console.

It would, but there just have not been moves from Sony to actually suggest such a thing is happening. With MS they were teasing a H2A for ages, admittedly we didn't have a clue about the MCC apart from that leak but seriously, Sony have been zip and I remember one of the guys from Naughty Dog in an interview not too long ago seeming a bit iffy of the thought of remastering them-although he said there were things they'd like to one day put right.

Not hearing anything or no hints doesn't mean anything.
And considering UC4 is ND's focus, if it was to happen it'd get outsourced to another company, like CEA was.

Sony for the most part have been timing things smartly this gen ever since MS' Xbone blunder, so if it was to be a thing they'd do a big MCC style announcement this E3.
