This was the saddest thing I've ever seen.

Yeah. The same thing happened to me in the beta when I was the MVP. I just played another game and eventually got something.
Even those items the other people got might not have been anything special.

Sometimes that's how PvP shakes out. I remember being a Corporal in Reach and having a few outrageous games where I'd outperform Commanders.
