This should have been GTA 5's map

When I saw the very first trailer for GTA 5, I envisioned the map to be incredibly huge with tons of different types of terrain and things to explore.

What we have now is okay, but I think it should have been even bigger with more towns, forests, and desert.

The 360 and PS3 shouldn't have gotten the game but they released it on those consoles anyway because money.

It's big but the areas to them are small and the map is taking up by too many pointless mountings and there's that huge lake in the middle.

I agree. The desert in the game is too damn small. There's hardly any other towns in the game and the ones we do have are small as well. That retarded lake is in the center of the map which is taking up way too much room. Rockstar should have focused more on the size of the land instead of that retarded underwater which is going to be used less than the land.

Why not the same size or slightly bigger but more lively? With the same size map you can make it more lively by redoing the areas and adding more to it. Instead of having all those pointless mountings and that lake in the middle they could be towns or a forest. For the largest mounting that can be at the end of the map instead of in the center.

I agree. Worst comes to worst for the consoles they have more than one disc. The PS4 might be able to fit it all on one and for the 360 it can have 4 installation discs.

I mean lively, like having more cars, driving around more A.I. Etc. etc.

The current gen and PC version has that. It's just last gen that feels empty life wise due to ancient hardware.

By the looks of it, this map has those cities.

Even though this San Andreas in GTA 5 takes place in the HD Universe, those 2 cities still exist. They are talked about in GTA 4.

The map is big enough but its sooo boring. I did like the 3D universe map better. There was always something to do. There feels like for all the pretty there isnt much to do. I do love going underground and getting into gun fights in the sewers/subways.

It's simple. They do it because of borders. They could either do a Skyrim and have the playing world surrounded by mountains or invisible walls. Or they could do it by having it be an island and have the water being a playable thing as well.
