The worst thing about Destiny

Is that people are afraid to admit they like it, probably because they know they are buying into corporate greed. Destiny gets more shit than ANY other game, yet it is currently the most played xbone game, the best selling next gen game, and its newest dlc is selling HUGE.

"yeah guys I got The Taken King. I know Destiny sucks but w.e"

My personal favorite: "Oh um actually I didn't buy the game, my friend gave it to me. Yeah."

Grow a backbone douche.

Destiny is fun as hell. More power to the people that have played the same worn-out content for an entire year. A story would've been nice but a game doesn't need to really have a traditional plot structure to be fun or good.

That said, Bungie straight up lied about many facets of the game which resulted in a lot of disappointment in what they released.

i've admitted many times that regardless of the shit that has happened it is a fun game but i won't buy it nor will i play it because bungie sucks dickkkkkkk

I remember before the game came out Bungie was talking about the ships in the game. They were making them out to be these great things when they actually ended up being nothing more than loading screens. Once No Mans Sky go announced that ended up causing a shit storm. The reason why is because that small time indie game is having planet to space travel in real time meanwhile this big time AAA game is using the ships for loading screens for travel.

Then there's that retarded statement they made about Destiny surpassing Halo and sitting alongside Star Wars. They even went as far to say ""We like to tell big stories and we want people to put the Destiny universe on the same shelf they put Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Star Wars."

I bought it used, played the base game, and sold it a few months later after I started to grind. Never bought the DLC and never really had any regret over getting rid of it. TF2 fills my down time quite nicely.

I'm enjoying the new stuff currently. Call me a sheep. But I'm having fun.

Anyways, regarding story. To be fair, it may not have been up there with Star Wars Or Lord Of The Rings. But it probably was a lot better than what we got. It had to be better, period. Even if only a little. It's obvious it was changed. And recently confirmed it was "substantially revised" and delayed an entire year. I really hope they tell what went down one day. They talked a bit about development at GDC, and said they made some mistakes while making the engine, and said when Destiny launched they were 2 years behind schedule. But they didn't go into great detail. The lore is there, the new lore added is the best I've read. I don't like that's it's not view-able in-game. But it's a good read. Really... Expansive. And hard to understand.
