The sniper gun shoots too far

Is it me or does the sniper gun just have way too much range? Just because its accurate doesn't mean it needs to shoot far. I mean Tiger Woods is accurate, but he doesn't pull up from half court and score a grand slam now does he?

The sniper is too powerful from far away. I mean every game I'm in there is some noob off to the side just sniping everyone. I was playing on Last Resort and the noob didn't even let me charge up my laser. He just noob shotted me in the head. Bungie, there is something wrong here.

Last game on the Pit me and my little brother rushed Rockets and shotgun when the game started, but this noob didn't even follow us. He went straight for sniper gun. And then me and my brother got killed by some BR noobs and they took our Rockets and then that sniper noob just kept killing people from the side. He had almost all of our teams kills. I got so mad at him for stealing my kills I went up and betrayed him because I wanted to show that idiot I don't deal with noobs on my team. Then I picked up his sniper gun and wasted all of the ammo.

I'd rather have 5 kills and 20 deaths with skill weapons than going 20-1 (I guess I was the only one that could kill that noob) with that noob sniper. So thats what I did. I showed him that I have zero tolerance for noobs on my team.

It takes no skill to use a sniper, you just shoot their head once. I think you should improve a gun that requires more skill. Thats why I think you should give the shotgun more range. Not as much as the sniper gun, but about as much as the BR. This way skilled players like myself will have a chance with these noobs. Its impossible to take out a sniper with the shotgun.

Another way to change is to add some spread to the sniper gun. That really showed those BR noobs. I think it could be very good in stopping the sniper gun noobs.

knowing the way they react to anything remotely related to weapon ''ballance'' (if you can even call it such a thing in Destiny) this must have induced epilepsies and psychological breakdowns. I'd ask for the link , but everytime i even try to read anything posted by #destiny, entire segments of my nervous system end up shutting down

I agree. Any weapon that has longer range and is more accurate than our MLG BR should be removed. The less weapons you have makes the game more competitive because I have to think less about what weapon I'm going to counter. I can't be using too many strategies in a match.

You have no idea what you're talking about, and you're always talking down about MLG because you got your rectum stretched forever loose like a kid's sock by Shaq's big black dick. It's not that MLG hates variety, it's that Bungie sucked ass at balancing sandboxes. Literally every non-precision, non-power weapon was terrible in the trilogy. That's why good players don't like AR or SMG starts, you're simply handicapping yourself.

I can't believe you actually took that post seriously. You would think this being a joke thread whoever seen that post would know it's a joke as well. And no, the reason why I talk down about MLG or don't take it seriously is because I don't take playing video games the way they do as serious business.

The other things that makes me not take it seriously is when there's people that over do it. In some real MLG video some announcer called them "next gen athletes" which is just retarded. I know that not everybody says shit like that guy but I think it's safe to say the whole MLG scene is being over done like that just to hype it up. Then there's these "competitive" people that think a game should be catered to the way they want it to be. For example with Halo 5 there's some competitive forum that wants sprint not to be in Halo 5 just because they don't like it. Then there's people like you that take a joke post that seriously about MLG.

Hurr for example with Halo 5 there's some casual forum cough waypoint cough that wants sprint to be in Halo 5 just because they like it.

At least the competitive side can explain how mechanics negatively impact gameplay where as the casual side can only say "duh it feels fun".
