Splatoon and Sonic? Never liked any of the Sonic games and the first platoon looked awful to me. Why are they must-haves? And what about the console itself?
Wow, my palate is as round as they come, thank you very much. Just not too big on weebshit and overly infantile stuff (both of which are Nintendo staples). Sonic has just never been my thing because of the semi "on rails" gameplay (the emphasis on constant but very linear speed always gave me that impression) and Splatoon looks like a brightly colored and casual third person shooter with nothing special going for it that'd get me to play it more than a few games. I tried the first one on display at a game store and felt done with it after one match. Console sounds about what I expected. Anything about a new Smash Bros or Pokemon?
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is getting tons of fanfare from people I follow on twitter who have played it. Verb will say its meh because its "anime" so ignore that.

I'm not too interested in Doom. Not because I mind playing FPS on console (I played tons of Halo, CoD and many others on the Xbox 360 / One over the years), but I already own the game on Xbox and PC. It's good, but I don't see any reason to buy it again on the Switch just to play at lower framerates and a smaller resolution.I couldn't tell you exactly what Sonic games I played. I owned one or two of the 2D ones back on the gameboy and then played Adventure 1 or 2 on the Gamecube (I think 2). I'll admit that this was a long time ago though, so my opinion might have changed. I was just always more of Mario guy than Sonic. The linear speed made it feel more like a "on rails" button pressing game than a normal platformer, although I guess the 3D one did somewhat better.
