I bought the book because I heard its potential was displayed in it.

The person wasn't wrong, and now I'm more disappointed. Cortana was not in this book either, but mentioned to be dead.

I have the book for the art of Halo CE and Halo 2. Some of the drawings they had for Master Chief in his CE armor got damaged when their studio leaked during a rainstorm and they explain where they got "Blam!" from. Pretty cool stuff.

I think their point was

sand actually fucks up Spartan armour or like, over time it can cause problems

that or they just tried the whole Lone Spartan thing and used the PONCHO to make it seem 'cool'
