Top 8 tomorrow. We got:

Tokido (fighting game god; looking like the best Ryu in the world right now)
Julio (top player in the NorCal area, it seems)

NuckleDu (strong Nash player, and one of my personal favorites)
Infiltration (another god--best Nash player in the world unless Du can prove himself)

Marn (clown--not sure how he even made it)
Ricki Ortiz (strong player in general--she won't win, but she'll make a statement)

Haitani (god--likely the best Necalli player right now)
Justin Wong

Predictions:

Tokido > Julio
Infiltration > NuckleDu
Ricki Ortiz > Marn
Haitani > Justin Wong

Tokido and Infiltration will meet again at Winner's Finals. It's hard to say who will win. Infiltration is already qualified for Capcom Cup, so he has no real reason to even be at this tournament. Therefore, I want Tokido to win. He's probably my favorite Japanese player, but just because I want him to win doesn't mean he will. Realistically, I have to give it to Infiltration.

NuckleDu > Ricky Ortiz
Haitani > Julio
Haitani > NuckleDu

Loser's Finals will be Tokido vs. Haitani. Tokido has already beaten Haitani at Final Round, so unless Haitani has adapted since then (which is more than likely), I expect Tokido to pull this one out.

Grand Finals will be Tokido vs. Infiltration once again. I want Tokido to take it, but he's going to have to win two games, because I don't expect him to win their first match, and he's going to end up in Loser's bracket one way or another. Therefore, Infiltration might just steal this whole tournament. Like I said--he doesn't even need to be here, because he's already qualified, but whatever. Kinda lame of him, if you ask me.

Unfortunately, Infiltration sends NuckleDu to Loser's as well. 2/2.
Marn eliminates Ricki Ortiz after a crazy set. That fucks up my predictions; 2/3.

New prediction: Marn > NuckleDu.

Justin Wong scrapes a victory against Haitani, eliminating him. 2/4.

New predictions: Justin Wong > Julio; Justin Wong > Marn; Tokido > Justin Wong.

Marn takes it over NuckleDu, eliminating him. Someone please take this motherfucker out already. 3/5.
As anticipated, Justin Wong eliminates Julio. 4/6.
Winner's Finals: Infiltration wins, sending Tokido to Loser's, as expected. 5/7.
Justin Wong finally stops the crazy Marn train. 6/8.
Loser's Finals: Tokido makes an epic comeback against Justin Wong in what was easily the best set of the night. 7/9.

I've only seen the 1994 Street Fighter movie with Jean-Claude Van Damme, and something from 2009 called The Legend of Chun-Li. Both of which were horrible, but the former had a so-bad-it's-good appeal to it.

Assassin's Fist seems to have been relatively well-received. Might have to check it out.
