One thing I still don't understand after the opening is why the aliens are attacking humanity. They were at war with each other, what was the point of hunting down humanity as well?
I hope the game answers at some point.

Well the game certainly wont win any awards for groundbreaking character customization. Aside form the boob thing being gone (meh) all the facial structure features are stuck to the preset defaults and basicly you're just coloring the character in, aside from their hairstyle, voice and height and stuff like freckles moles scars facepaint and their pupil shape.

That said it's not TOO too bad as long as you don't hate anime looking characters for whatever reason. It's not Destiny-teir of godawful, thank The Lord.

why does the game feel the need to provide flashbacks of a scene I just saw like 5 minutes ago?

I don't think I can make a judgment on it yet.
I only relay got started in the original Xenoblade. I got too caught up in Halo and Smash to get anywhere sugnifigant but I liked what the combat was so far. I had just beaten the first real boss (That spider that was going to kill the the "buncha jokers" guy)

There are plenty of mobs everywere, alot of them are huge. The  whole shit looks like Metroid: Jurasic Park. Items are littered everywhere too, although most of those items them seem to be low-grade materials or mundane quest shit.

Not sure what else is out there, I just started, although I've heard good things.
