I was hoping they'd ignore the new trilogy for the most part. I liked the campaigns where you essentially played as a no name soldier.

They better have a matchmaking hopper that has heroes disabled. That shit was broken in BF2.

Well, at least Dice can't totally fuck up the campaign for once, since it's practically already written for them.

I'm still very concerned this will just be a Battlefield in space reskin.

I would be extremely surprised if this were true. It wouldn't leave EA/DICE with much room for a sequel, and that sounds humorously out-of-character for them.

They can always do different battles and such. That's what Battlefront II basically did until it got into the Dark Times Era. Or follow different troopers. Add new game modes and stuff too. But yeah, I see what you mean.

IMO, this would be a great way to wrap up stories of Clone Troopers from The Clone Wars show, such as Captain Rex. You could still get all the action that'd you get from the TV show as well. If these rumors are true, I wonder which battles they'd incorporate from The Clone Wars into the game? I've always been a fan of Landing at Point Rain.

Besides the 64 players now that's a rumor that isn't a rumor. Since it's a EA game made by DICE we all know it's going to have DLC out the ass. And by DLC I don't mean expansion packs that add onto the game. DLC as in something that was cut or hold back to be sold to you latter or day one.

So you see nothing wrong with a game charging you for DLC that was either cut or hold back? Any day one DLC or DLC that's released withing a short time span of the game is just DLC that was held back from the game. Also whats your stance on disc locked content like what Gears 3 did? The first map pack is already on the disc but they were charging you to access something that you already bought.

I'm not but if we're assuming the rumour in the OP is correct then the actual game itself should have plenty of content. if this is the case then DLC isn't a problem.

If they were in the planning stages of a DLC pack four months from release it'd be different; by that point the games already in printing stages to prepare for release and they can't add anything else. But to already have five packs mocked up before we've even seen what the game looks like? No.

I like how people think they'll actually try to improve upon the Star Wars story line or give 2 fucks about the tv show or whatever. If the game even has a story it'll be a generic 3 hour romp that they couldn't care less if you play.

I have no problem with preplanned DLC, but the idea of playing through the campaign as a character sounds particularly unlike Battlefront. In each game you're going to have numerous deaths; how is that going to work here? It just doesn't seem possible to play a Battlefront match with a single character without radically changing how the game works.

And is it really a FPS?
