It'll run better and have less issues

I could also make a game that intends to run shitty for some artistic purpose. Once again, filmmakers do this all the time. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was shot in 35mm rather than IMAX specifically to match the visual aesthetic of the original trilogy. If I'm watching old Super 8 films I made when I was a kid, I'm watching it on a shitty VHS player with a CRT. I wouldn't ever convert the footage to a superior format, because I want to be sent back to a simpler time when such things didn't exist. This is not complicated.
Preserving an old style is not the same as playing a game that's all janked up. That would be like playing a movie on vhs and it eating the tape every thirty seconds so that you have to respool and play again.

Weirder artistic decisions have been made. There's a movie called Mommy that's shot in 1:1, rather than the standard 1.85:1. It does this for reasons I can't explain without spoiling the movie, but it's a really weird aspect ratio to use, because it's a perfect square. It doesn't hinder the experience at all, despite not being the ideal for other films.
Your comparison doesn't make sense tho, that film was made specifically for that format. Format and hardware are two different things, you can have the same old school format played using newer technology that doesn't skip or fuck up as much. It's not like playing OoT on an emulator that's locked at 30fps with no graphical upgrades is any different than playing it on the 64, barring better load times and less errors.

And if you play using a better graphics card than I had in mind, you're playing the game incorrectly.OoT runs at 20fps, by the way, and emulating it is completely different than playing it on the N64. It's night and day. I want the imperfections. I want the fuck-ups. They add a touch of humanity to the experience. This is hilarious. I mean I should've expected this from somebody whose solution to problems is just extinction. Simple minded.

Actually it's you. You had no purpose on your mind other than trying to "one up" me. Look at the title of the thread and how disrespectful you were the entire "conversation".
Bringing up random obscure examples as if that somehow changes the fact that new hardware isn't good.
This all started because I said Nier looks better on PC as opposed to consoles. It does. So do a lot of other games, because a state of the art graphics card on a PC is going to result in a better looking game. That's facts.
The title of your thread was disrespectful.
No it doesn't. It's just a way for you to try and weasel or of admitting the truth.
Really? Nier and several other games look better on PC. Fact.
Keep pulling nigger moves somebody's gonna check you for that one day.
Art was never the subject.
Fact.
I don't give a fuck
No it wasn't
I don't care about what you prefer. If you prefer it on console, cool. Just realize it's better on PC.
Even Dietrich gets it.even dietrich gets it
Caveats my friend caveats. Chally is right 100% of the time barring your one nonsensical hypothetical.

Simple to understand, sure.
Oh, and ports. PC ports are garbage.
