That's actually true. It was supposed to be an open TPS action game before it was made into an FPS.

And when it did become a FPS the game was still remotely different from what we got. The E3 trailer resembled CE but there are things about it that stands out. There's ground based animal life, the elites used arm shields instead of the body shields, the elites didn't speak English and there's that warthog like vehicle they have.
