It's just...weird, and kind of impractical. If he's pulling it or pushing that back part, it seems really impractical to me.

Judging by the weight of the front portion as well as the fact that it's supposed to launch relatively heavy projectiles, it'd more than likely just snap off at the (poorly-designed) handle as soon as he tried to shoot it.
