Dunno. I for one am kinda tired of the usual green tunic and cap. They could still bring it back, like this could just be Link's attire early in the game or w/e.

As for his actual physical appearance. There is no "traditional" look. Check out artist renditions of him from the NES, SNES and Game Boy games and compare them to N64 and up. I'd say they went back to the older style a bit.

You said he looks more feminine than ever before. I don't think he looks much worse than his oldest designs.

The tunic will change at some point I think. I actually really like the look of it but no way Nintendo would change Link's "main attire" from the green garb we're used to. He didn't where it at the start of Twilight Princess either.

As for his features, I like it. He's always been a feminine looking character. That's why people call him "fairy boy" lol

They should have just made him female in this one. I mean he already looks the part.

I just hope we get to choose what to wear, and that health and stuff isn't linked to appearance. I'm really digging both his get-ups in my OP and your post.

The stunning gameplay footage reveal of The Legend of Zelda on Wii U was undoubtedly one of the finest moments of E3 2014. But since the brief reveal, there's been a lot of speculation that the hero in the trailer was a female Link, or perhaps another character entirely.

But it seems like that's not the case. Speaking to Australian site MMGN, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has said that the character in the trailer was, in fact, a male Link. "You know, you have to show Link when you create a trailer for a Zelda announcement," said Aonuma to the site.

A male Link it is, then. How does that make you feel?

"The character's a hero, and represents the player in the game, so I leave that to the player to decide what the characteristics are of the player character, because it's supposed to represent him or herself. If that makes sense!"
