As flawed as it is in the whole canon, they couldn't have a boring story of... I dunno, just you fighting supermutants or having slap-battles with the Outcasts.
The Outcast BoS actually behaved like the BoS at least. They're supposed to be enormous assholes. At least there was a proper reason why their ways changed in Chicago.
