You can save whenever you want meaning that time is no longer of the essence as you no longer have to backtrack to a save point to save your progress.
The bosses have been made easier, all of the bosses have also been given giant glowing weakpoints for you to hit
the layout of clocktown and some other places was apparently redone in order to make it easier to navigate

If you're casual and can't manage your 72 hours correctly it is.
Oldowa had a big eye put in the center of his chest as a weak point. He didn't use to have one. Every other boss has been given the same treatment and the fish boss was made significantly easier on top of that.
Doesn't it not have the timer?
