Yeah I wouldn't mind going back to Kanto in 3D with the newer mechanics, I could have a nice team with Pokemon I dont hate.

But at least with these, you don't have to worry about your save battery drying out. That's the main appeal. Because at this point, games that actually have a working save feature are very rare, and it's very expensive to get the batteries replaced.

Yes, actually. Mostly for the reasons I just gave--I'd like to be able to save my game, and $15 is a lot cheaper than it would be to replace the battery (and potentially fuck up the board). I also just think it's cool how they're allowing you to trade and battle and connect with other players, so to me, that makes it all very worth it.

The best thing about putting them on 3DS, though, is that now, there is NO EXCUSE to be pirating them. None.

Not really; buy the tool to open the case (a few dollars) and a watch battery. The only issue is not breaking the thing when you do that, which amounts to not removing the metal arms that hold it down.

You also need a soldering iron if you want to do the job well. It's just way too much of a hassle.

It's the same issue as GSC; difference is that collecting doesn't feel right if it isn't tangible.

Well, it's not like you have to throw away your physical copy. Collecting and playing are two different worlds, so you could have a physical copy for your collection, and a digital copy for playing.

Save states ruin the fun of the game, and so does speeding the game up.

Why even play if you can just ensure victory by speeding the entire thing up?

I think save states and faster emulation make the game more fun. I personally don't like all of the waiting during pokemon battles. Plus, I've never actually emulated a game I don't own, so

No point in buying two exact copies of something unless there's a reasonable difference. Like, if I have RBY already, then why would I pay $15 for something I already have?

And if I chose digital over physical, then it doesn't feel real. Like, I prefer to play GBA games on the GBA versus a DS Lite; only difference is brightness quality and how the buttons feel, but it's still there.

I'm just picky tbh
