Das is the only other person I know who has played it (I'm trying to get Aria to play it, too), so even if you don't like it, I'd still be interested in hearing your impressions about the game. I love it dearly, but I'm not saying you will, and it's all right if you don't.

Actually one of the reasons I really like Dark Souls is for the themes.
They resonate with me. As do the themes in MM.

gamecube, though i originally played it on my ps2 as a kid

don't feel too bad though, i really wanted a ps2 to replay Jak X combat racing and i was going to eventually. that game has an amazing soundtrack.

please don't get the wrong impression, i'm usually very good with my money. i buy my clothes at those shitty used stores, i cut my own hair, groceries cost about 40 bucks a week, etc. i had been considering buying a ps2 for quite some time.

i consider buying a ps2 a medical expense so that i don't get grossly bored and depressed lol

It's weird. The older I get the less interest I have in games. And keep in mind, I've loved games since I was a kid. I went from a Sega Genisis to current console.

But you know what, if a game doesn't have a half decent story then I don't care. Even Game With Gold only hold my attention doe so long.

Funhaus makes excellent points on the matter. It's just the more money and less time you have to spend on video games the less you care.

Like, I could buy every triple A title that comes out but I don't want to. I want a game that will make me want to play for 18 hours. A game than makes me wanna play after work instead of sleep.

Games are fickle. They're either broad enough to get everyone to play or they catch the story audience. It;s a hard line.

I went through something similar around 2013. I recommend Rayman 2: The Great Escape (PC version preferred because the final boss battle differentiates between platforms), the Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo and maybe a few old Bungie ViDocs to renew your zest for gaming.

But tbh it'll free up some spare time and money to just stop gaming, so maybe it's a good thing to just let go?
