You know....was Bungie trying to put forth some religious message with these games?>.>
the one true God is Doctor Doom and we should all be worshiping him.
Sorry to break your bubble, but Demon was a collective term for Spartans. They all looked basically the same from Covenant perspective, and were collectively given the same term.Master Chief wasn't that special (fir a Spartan) before the battle of Alpha Halo. Not from the Covenant's perspective.

If there's one fighting you, you'd refer to it singularly.
I've wondered why Elites sometimes shout "Demon flare!" when somebody throws a grenade in Halo 2
Why can the Covenant speak English, and why do they? Especially during battle?
Quote from: Verbatim on September 03, 2015, 12:27:38 PMWhy can the Covenant speak English, and why do they? Especially during battle?IIRC in Halos 2 & 3 the explanation was real-time translation provided by Chief's suit. In Halo 5 it's apparently to show that Jul M'dama is losing grip of his forces and they're protesting him by speaking the humans' language. But I don't think that explains the aliens simply lacking the physiology to speak English. (Four mouth flaps with teeth doesn't seem practical in any universe, but it's better to not think about these things >.>)
Because he destroyed the Halo. First time they called him demon was the opening of Halo 2.

The Arbiter is one example, I believe Jul M'dama is another.
