Not really, because in the end, they determined it didn't fit within Halo, making the point moot. You all need to look at this from a game design perspective, not an arrogant fanboy one.

Halo 4 did have killstreaks.
A Killstreak is earned when a player acquires a certain number of kills in a row without dying.In the multiplayer modes of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified the player is given various rewards depending on how long the killstreak lasts. Most killstreaks provide air support, but some, like the UAV, SR-71 Blackbird, Counter-UAV and the EMP can help the user's entire team by giving or blocking radar.
Ordnance is the default power weapon and powerup delivery system in Halo 4's War Games. When an Ordnance drops, a waypoint is displayed on the player's HUD indicating the location of and item in the drop as long as it is within 75 meters of the player. The ordnance and waypoint remain until the item is picked up.

Ordnance drops were a reward for increasing your score. Scorestreaks and killstreaks, semantics aside, accomplish the same purpose.
