Not doing so hot.

This sucks, because the PS4 was in desperate need of a good exclusive racing title.  I started having my doubts about this game when it was announced that it would be an arcade title (not simcade like Forza or GT).  Really wish that it would've been better so that the devs over at Turn 10 and Polyphony would have to step up their game.  Oh well.

So as someone who is primarily a PC gamer on the sidelines here it looks like this to me.

Sony: Talks big and runs smear campaigns against competition, but ultimately doesn't have a product with anything worthwhile on it exclusively.

MS: Got the shit beaten out of them marketing wise and had to back peddle, but actually has decent looking exclusives coming out.

Nintento: Just keeps chuggin along doing its own thing.

Stockholders realize that sony isn't doing so well.
Sony hasn't been a high flier since the 90s- early 00s.

People play racing games? Didn't realize there are that many die hard Driveclub fans here.

Meh. Would rather they take the time to get a game right than push out broken garbage. The people complaining would be the same ones throwing fits that the game was bad if it released now.

As for the stuff about X1 having better exclusives thats pretty lol. Comes off like a console war circle jerk. Opinions =/= facts. I'm more than happy with my PS4 so far.

Anyone who thinks Sony is going to collapse is kidding themselves. They'd sell off a bunch of their divisions before that happened and/or spin off playstation into a separate brand. But I doubt it would ever come to that since the Japanese govt is unlikely to let them fail.

Well Sony did have a 78% chance of bankruptcy last I heard. Stock holders probably don't want to have their investments go to waste so I'd assume they're trying to get back whatever they can before the company collapses.

The major collapse came well before the 78% chance was addressed.
It's pretty obvious just by looking at their earnings reports that they're a failing company.

People play racing games?

I'm a big car guy.  I've been playing racing games since I was 8.  My first game for the PS2 was Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2.

I get excited when a new racing game is announced because we could use come more competitors on the console market (Forza and GT have been getting lax over the years).  I was kinda bummed when they announced that DriveClub would be an arcade title.  Still, I was hoping it would end up being something a-la PGR.  Not the case.
