My only tip is to have fun. I mean, it's Smash Bros. so it's probably a given, but still, if you're swearing at the TV and on the verge of breaking your controller, it's probably a good time to stop playing. Same with any game.

All I know is, the pro circuit for melee is unattainable for me. I can't pull off all those little tricks well enough to fight competently.

Use your charge shot being fully charged up, as a way to intimidate your opponent at high damage. They'll stay away from you as best you can, and they'll probably panic and make a mistake.

Focus on aerial moves, and timing your projectiles well.
