I've seen some posts, albeit some were a while ago, about having a Smash 3DS tournament, so here we go.

Rules: 3 stock, 8 minutes, no items, characters can be switched mid-set
Legal stages: all Omega forms, Battlefield, Arena Ferox, Yoshi's Story, Prism Tower, Final Destination (the two competing against each other must agree on a stage choice)
Format: bracket, best of 3, double elimination

When you find out who your opponent is, contact them and set up a time to complete your set.

Bracket will be visible on http://challonge.com/sep7agonsmashtournament.

I highly encourage all of you to add each other and have one participant in each set save the replay to each battle so that we can all go back and watch the battles if we so choose to.

Yes, but the winner can't switch after the loser switches in order to prevent a counter-pick from the advantaged player. Although that'll more than likely to enforce considering this is online.

Do you mean finding a time will be hard? Possibly, but I play with A Cheese Potato on Xbone from time to time, massive difference in time hasn't been much of an issue.
