I've been acquiring CS:GO skins through the community market (only cheap ones though, likes a few cents each level of cheap). Sometimes there's some really cool looking skins when you consider their price.

Here's two of my favorite ones that I have.

At least you can see the gun skin yourself while playing.

I'm not hardcore into skin trading or anything like that, I just like the guns to look a tiny bit prettier. I wouldn't buy a gun skin that cost like 100€, I stick to the cheapest of the cheapest.

The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.

It gets pretty hardcore. People trade shit, place bets on pro matches, etc. A friend of mine made $450 on csgo skins

It's all based on supply and demand though, VALVe doesn't make the prices. The skins drop randomly by themselves or in cases (which can be unlocked with keys which also can be bought). Rarer skins naturally costs more as the supply is lower. Principle of the free market.
