Believe me j thought that was the ending as well. You ca n play after the actual ending but you probably want to make sure you have EVERY sidequest and gwent game done because some NPCs disappear after the game ends

Well I'm glad that there is still a lot more to do, but yeah I've done almost every sidequest now. It's a pity that you can't win more cards from general merchants because so far my decks all consist of nothing but the special character ones which are great and all but pretty boring.
