Congratulation your favorite game as a kid is been remade to upgraded graphic and sound. The game developer promised not to change any of other aspect of the game. The plot,characters and game play are the same.

Would you buy it?

I wouldn't buy a remake of a game unless they completely overhauled it or added new mechanics.

An example of this would be something like Pokemon Omega games. It went from 2D, to 3D with a whole bunch of new features, and even a new character or two.

Simply making a game look prettier and sound better promotes the notion that you don't need to try new things to make a quick buck. It promotes stagnation, something I'm always against. So no, I wouldn't.

Games I would like remade though?

Considering Halo CE got a remaster, it was just as fun as I remembered it to be.

However, Pokemon Emerald technically got a remake with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and I hate the latter so much. Remakes can be really hit and miss.

I'd take a remastered KOTOR 1 and 2 (with restored content) over a KOTOR 3 at this point. Keep the gameplay intact, with maybe a few changes for balancing. Making it more like Bioware's current games would ruin it.

I would love to see a reimagining of Spider-man 2000 and Crash Twinsanity.

But full remakes ala Halo 2 Anniversary? Crash Bandicoot 2/Warped, Spyro 2, Super Smash Brothers: 64/Melee, Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask, and Bionicle: The Mask of Light.

Snake Eater above all, though. Except update the damn gameplay, for heaven's sake.

With ME3's cover system but ME1's biotic and tech system
The sometimes janky as fuck way you run in to or our of cover was my only real gripe with Me1's combat...
and the Asari commandos on Noveria. Fuck that fight.

If they'd actually done a remake of Twilight Princess instead of an upscale to HD, absolutely tbh.

I kind of feel like part of the charm of Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie was the allocation of limited Polygons, but I wouldn't be against a remake. It would be a lot better than that Nuts & Bolts bullshit
