Yeah, not a fan of Diamond and Pearl for a lot of raisins, but I don't really "hate" any Pokemon game. Actually, the least enjoyable was Black/White 2 because almost nothing was new.

Conversely, I think Gen 3 wins for a number of reasons. The creativeness of the pokemanz, the world region was simply amazing for its time, and the mystery and steps you had to take to capture some pokemon was incredible.

Only reason I like Gen 4 is because of Cynthia.

The only way I could make sense out of ranking Gen 1 first--without any nostalgia bias involved--is if you just happen to love how broken the game is at its core. The game has so many glitches, finding the next crazy way to exploit its primitive design is almost a game in itself, and it's REALLY fun.

Yeah. I have a pretty large collection of Cynthia porn. That game was slow and had awful sound.

Gen 1 was buggy as hell and wasn't thoroughly planned out. So many useless types.

Also, the only way I play Pokémon these days is through the Nuzlocke challenge, and Gen 1 is a good one to Nuzlocke.

Visually, Gen 5 aged worse than Gen 1.

The awkward Siamesing of 2D and 3D together is just ugly as hell now. It looks like straight vomit.

I liked it before I played Gen 6. That game spoiled me in a lot of ways.

Never played the original Gold and Silver games. So since I never played them I decided to place it right in the middle.
I did however, play Heart Gold and Soul Silver which is technically Gen 4.

2 is the best and thats all that matters, there isnt a big discrepancy in quality between any of the other generations except 1, which gets a pass because its fucking pokemon gen 1.
