I'm willing to bet that PSN is better than XBL, because Xbox has the worst track record ever when it comes to providing anything for their consumers. PSN is also fast as hell, so that helps.

raw numbers are biasedok
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_biasJust too stupid, huh?
I dont seem to remember Xbox Live going down because someone got into they system and got away with a bunch of Credit Card and personal informaation
If I could scrape the skin off your face with a blunt knife and eat it for dinner, I would.
Perhaps Verb really does in fact live on a separate plane of existence from the rest of us after all

that you're calling an independent report with raw data about both services biased and claiming confirmation bias because the facts don't match up with your opinion
Quote from: LC on January 02, 2017, 01:17:32 PMthat you're calling an independent report with raw data about both services biased and claiming confirmation bias because the facts don't match up with your opinionMy opinion? I thought I was factually wrong?
opinions can be wrong, and your opinion that PSN is faster than XBL is factually wrongthis is easy stuff dude
Quote from: LC on January 02, 2017, 01:19:28 PMopinions can be wrong, and your opinion that PSN is faster than XBL is factually wrongthis is easy stuff dudeBut why is PSN so fast though?Even if XBL is faster, PSN is still fast. How much do you spend on XBL compared to PSN? That's a factor we haven't even touched on. If PSN is more expensive, then I'd have to concede that it's objectively worse based on that alone. If XBL costs more, then there is no possible way you could argue that it's better.
they're the same price iirc
Okay, so if not for the fact that I completely forgot about that price increase, PSN was indisputably better than XBL based on price alone (the only factor that matters). Having been reminded of it, I guess PSN is worse than XBL now. Even though they're the same price, Sony essentially gave up a HUGE advantage they had over Microsoft, which is pretty fucking stupid. In conclusion, Nintendo wins. Paid online services will always suck.
Yeah it does it you enjoy simulating awfull bordrrline unplayable McDonnalds dial-up.
Us sane people however will continue preferring a competent gameplay experience.
When the first map pack for MW2 came out, I was one of the first to download it and because of that Microsoft sent me a message congratulating me and extended my Gold membership an extra month. This other time I downloaded a demo for a game and got mistakingly banned for a day. I wasn't the only one affected by this so Microsoft apologized and gave everyone that got banned 1600 M$ points and a 3-month Gold membership. And through my many years of playing on Xbox Live, I only recall the service only going down for 1 day and everyone was sent a message weeks in advance so nobody got confused.

One time, I randomly received $10 credit from them for being a "loyal customer." I think it was sometime after they got hacked.
$10 is good compensation for people who got hundreds maybe thousands of dollars stolen from them
