Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I've never been more hyped for a game in my life, but after beating the story and playing the fuck out of it with my friends, I can't see myself ever coming back to it, and I've been convinced that it's easily the weakest in the series in terms of how fun it is to play.

I'll go back and play SSB64, Melee, and Smash 4. I won't go back to Brawl.

Dishonored. I was really looking forward to it after hearing so many raving about it, and while it's a decent game in its own right I couldn't really see what everyone thought was so great about it.

Halo 4 and MGSV are the only two games I've ever been that hyped for.

Arkham Knight was exciting but I just sort of accepted the release, I wasn't amped or anything.

Pokemon OR/AS. Never went back after beating it. The delta chapter was great, though not enough to redeem it. Also no Frontier was the final nail in the coffin.

ORAS sadly.

It had all the makings of a masterpiece of a remaster like Heartgold was, but they just got lazy around the edges and it really showed through. Pokemon Amie still being french in Hoenn, GG. No frontier? Alright, RS didn't have it. Oh a clone of the Battle Shitshow. Nice.

The utter stupidity of mirage spots, I can't actually be fucked to go after any of the legendaries on them.

Oh and no rematching gym leaders.

No VS seeker.

I've said it a few times now, if I hadn't put 500 hours into Pokemon X I'd have loved the shit out of ORAS. I'd just been playing the same damn game so much before it had even come out that it was an 80 hours and I'm done kind of deal.

And with Pokemon Z on the horizon? Blegh.

I might do what I did for the start of Gen 6 and just sit out a few years of it until something good comes along again.

Then Watch Dogs came out and was talked about for 2 weeks then it was never mentioned again.

I was thinking about getting Titianfall but the player count killed it for me. I originally thought it was going to be at least 32 players instead of it being CoD wih mechs.

I was going to get the MCC but the bullshit where you vote on which game you're going to play killed it for me. I originally thought each of the four games had it's own playlists instead of it being like you select TDM and you vote on which game to play it on.

I'm still going to get MGS 5 and Mad Max but I'm waiting for the prices to go down.

All the games were consistently good until recently.

X/Y though not particularly great, was still a breath of fresh air. What was so weak about OR/AS was that it brought absolutely nothing new, making it practically a reskin of X/Y.

It's for that reason I'm not even looking forward to Z.

I mean, this was around the time when I couldn't get as hyped for games as I did in my early/mid teens, but I was still very excited. I got the game, beat it, said "What? That's was fucking it?" And then didn't buy any DLC because the economy was so frustratingly unfair and grueling that I didn't want to pick it up again. Until the price of HoW, TDB, and TTK go down substantially, I'm not planning on playing it. I'm sure it's been substantially improved, but I've felt betrayed by Bungie ever since its release, and the amount of times they lied about the scale and nature of the game.

Yeah, ORAS was disappointingly watered-down :/ Battle Frontier was a baffling omission.

I don't think I've touched Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts since I put 3 hours into it and gave up on launch day. That game should never have had the BK title.
