Character bios, backstories, world events and histories, mythologies, usually each installment in a series is a different/new tournament and each one followed a canonical ending to the prior one.

Tekken and MK are probably the best examples of "lore heavy" (relative to the genre) fighting games that I can think of right now.

To me that seems the exact opposite of objectifying women.
