evil mega corporations are a staple of cyberpunk settings and by staple I mean ridiculously overused trope to the point of parody.

At first it looked like a cyperpunk version of Splintercell and then the gameplay showed up. It looks like a ground version of Hybrid if you know what the game is with shitty graphics. I think it's safe to say these people just killed their game with this trailer. You go from something that looks interesting to something that looks like a boring mobile game. Activision should hire these people to help make Destiny 2. Now that would be a real good bait and switch.

When you were watching the trailer before the gameplay came were you expecting it to be something completely different? For myself I was picturing the game to be a cyberpunk version of Splintercell. At 1:08 up to the point she jumps I was expecting the gameplay to be you landing and you are fighting those machines in a third person view. Lets face it I'm sure the majority of the people that seen this were expecting the game play to be something completely different than what it is. The problem is that during the first part it was something remotely interesting which baits you in and when the gameplay comes up it's just one massive disappointment. It baits you into something that looks interesting and latter it completely switches to something that's a massive let down.

It's a world building trailer for a game that is completely different than what was first being shown. The CGI is seen in a world that looks dark and gritty which is making the game out to be a first or third person shooter. The gameplay on the other hand looks nothing like the CGI world due to it being colorful and artsy. For the gameplay you go from a CGI trailer that is making the game out to be some first or third person shooter to a side scrolling type of game which was not hinted at all. It's a massive bait and switch due to the CGI advertising a game that is nothing like what it was being shown and hinting.

And do you expect CGI trailers to always 100% mirror the gameplay. You must be let down quite often.
