as long as the definitive edition has all the DLC, it doesn't matter

the real problem with definitive editions is that they depend on you not already owning the game—so you might have spent $120 on the game + all its DLC, while i'm sitting here only paying half of that because i was smart enough to wait

which is not exactly fair, but w/e

Apparently it would cost me 58,86€ to buy all the DLC I'm missing for the game (I have the original edition) but only 29,99€ to buy the Definitive Edition lol

most of the ones i've okayed so far have been indies i think

indies in general seem to be the way to go these days, i regret my prejudice towards them

That’s another “definitive edition” though because it has more content than the normal Dragon’s Dogma. It’s like Ninja Gaiden 3 and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge, apart from the technical and gameplay improvements there is a ton of new content. It’s pretty much DLC.

Titanfall 2's only paid dlc was weapon skins (not RNG, just buy what one you want), but everything else (maps, weapons, titans etc) were free. I only really mention it because in a Q&A one of the producers said the skins didn't make money and the ones they did in the last few updates were just ones the artists wanted to make.
