It's barely even a fighting game like Smash.
Quote from: Thunder on January 27, 2016, 06:37:01 PMIt's barely even a fighting game like Smash.Okay, minor thing here, but is this supposed to be"It's barely even a fight game, like Smash." meaning that Smash isn't a fighting game, or "It's barely even a fighting game like Smash." comparing this Pokken to an actual fighting game (Smash).Sorry for the confusion, I'm just not sure if I'm supposed to be ass-blasted or getting ready to circle-jerk.
SpoilerSmash isn't a fighting game

You aren't good at triggering people
Who said I was TRYING to trigger? It isn't a fighting game simple as that.
Quote from: Thunder on January 27, 2016, 07:45:02 PMWho said I was TRYING to trigger? It isn't a fighting game simple as that.So what would you define it as, then? Out of curiosity.
It doesn't quite fit into any other genre. That's due to its uniqueness. At most I would classify it as a brawler.
Smash is a party game, not a fighting game.

I'm so scared one day I'm going to punch my CRT when I get mad at the game. Though I don't usually get mad when I'm playing Melee/Project M.

CRT?
Quote from: Rocketman287 on January 27, 2016, 10:58:03 PMCRT?CRT's produce the smallest amount of lag out of all TVs with the exception of really really really high quality monitors. When it comes to Melee/Brawl, playing on anything but a CRT will produce input lag because of the high definition nature of the TV. Because the games will upscale to whatever resolution the HDTV is, they have to "move" more pixels than they're used to, which takes time.Or at least, that's my understanding of it. Bringing those hunks of metal around isn't so bad, though.
Yeah I've heard the term "hdtv lag" used when people are playing older gen games. Unfortunately you've gotta lug those heavy things around.

Unfortunately you've gotta lug those heavy things around. It's honestly not so bad. They're VERY dependable. Far more than any monitor screen I have. The glass screen protects from any damage pretty well. The one you saw in my Snapchat I can carry around with one hand. I think it's probably around 13-15" wide or so. I thought the picture quality would be an issue for me, but I'm actually not that bothered by it. Dunno, that just might be me.
Here's the full list.So HYPE for SSV, just need a PS4 first...
