3/4 E4 down, just have Kahili left. Dropped Parasect for a Rockruff to evolve into Lycanroc. So far so good with only 5 usable pokes. Pretty fun so far but I miss the over-the-top arenas from a couple games ago (X/Y maybe?).

My poor friend--he just found his second shiny ever today--a Sneasel--and he accidentally KO'd it.

His first one was a Wingull, which is his least favorite Pokémon.

Gonna do a review of this, I think. I was feeling a steady 7/10, but the post-game bumped it up to an 8 for me. Great, solid Pokémon game--the best since Gen 3. I seriously don't understand how people think the post-game is as shallow as XY's was--it's pretty objectively not. It's no Gen 2, but still.

They really needed to make special SOS encounters more common. This is such a ridiculously shitty and unfun mechanic. I'm sitting here waiting for this fucking Sandshrew to call a Vanillite for help before it fucking Struggles itself to death (which has happened three times already).

yeah

i even went full autismo by using bestow to give it an icy rock to extend the sandshrew's hail time (because vanillite only appears in hail)--and once he runs out of PP, i use thief to steal it back and start all over again
