I got Omega Ruby today2 thingsMay has the cutest expressions (playing as Brendan, otherwise it'd just be C:)Music is lovely. The random pokemon theme is so nostalgic
The outfit thing I can understand since it's a remake, but I honestly like HG/SS. What was your issue with it?

so they probably couldn't have made a remake that I would be happy with in the end.

What was your issue with it?- Gen IV's clunky, molasses-paced battles made an unwelcome reprisal- Having your Pokémon constantly follow you around gets very annoying after awhile- Terrible music--ALL of my favorite tracks were ruined (except Silver's theme)- The 2D/3D thing just does not work for me whatsoever--I've talked about this before- Fucking Lyraetc. But yeah, the #1 reason is because it has that lingering Gen IV stink that I can't handle for too long. To be fair, though, Gen II is my baby, so they probably couldn't have made a remake that I would be happy with in the end.I actually loved it when it first came out, but it really soured on me in a short period of time.
FINALLY

So I've been powering through Pokemon X so I can play Omega Rubyand uhh, the little flashback story of that small pokemon and that guy was... surprisingly sad. And the cutscene was a pleasant surprise.I swear though, I don't know who is worse. Team Plasma or Flare. They're both so painfully bland, but I think Flares music is worse.

Without spoiling, there's a good reason they're widely considered to be the worst overall. As dumb as they can get, you can usually point to at least one or two things that are pretty cool about each team. Team Magma/Aqua had the most harebrained motivations in the series, but their over-the-top dialogue and general stupidity made them funny as hell. Team Galactic had those dopey-looking designs, but Cyrus was awesome, and is probably the most sympathetic villain in the series (to me, anyway). Team Plasma's motives were interesting, if hypocritical--because the ethics of Pokémon battling had never been tackled as a subject matter before.Team Flare... I can honestly say there wasn't a thing about them that I found remotely redeeming, let alone interesting.
The only thing I like about them remotely is their leader, and even then he doesn't compare to someone like Cyrus. Well, sort of.Though idk why he decided to kill himself in the end. Now it's off to the Elite 4 with me.

The thing is though, in Pokemon X it's likely that he didn't kill himselfPokemon X: That's right! I shall grant you eternal life! I'll give you the pain of endlessly waiting for a beautiful world to finally be builtPokemon Y: The ultimate weapon is a flower that bloomed to no avail... Just like me... But this ends here! I will show what its remaining power can do!He probably gave himself immortality, like AZ which really doesn't make sense to me because I thought his plan was to kill Humans off to create his beautiful world - firing the weapon would have probably made everyone immortal, thus ruining his plan.He could have been such a good villain if he got much better developmentSpoilerAsh:Lysandre:
