So when it comes to hatching eggs does it only count distance travelled with the app open or can I do it while suspended?

You gotta have the app open. If you enable power saving mode it locks your phone when it's upside down while keeping the app running tho

no the pokestops and gyms are the portals in ingress. The blue dot things are something else, but apparently the algorithm that spawns them is the same as the one that determines where you encounter pokemon

I think my local library has strategy's going on or something.
There is about 3 gyms all around the same area with the library in the middle. All controlled by mystic.

However after I grabbed everything I needed and checked out I heard two people in the back of the counter talking. One of them said. "Damn it they took one of our gyms." With the one girl their saying "let's go recapture it".

Next thing I see on my phone is Valor having one of the gyms and literally as I was getting in the car with my brother the red gym turned back to blue.

The games has been available in Ireland for a while now, since if you used a roundabout way of getting the game you could play it here before the official release.
However it never fucking worked properly.

The game had an official launch a few days ago and is on the appstore for the region.
And it still doesn't fucking work.

How the fuck are Nintendo making such a large profit (reportedly around 25% on top of what they usually make) if no one can play the damn thing?

Hopefully a patch does come out soon to help fix some of the server issues.

However I don't think the 3 paws distance will be fixed anytime soon as other issues are more important

iirc that roundabout way involved using an Aussie iTunes/Play store account to download the app. Shit janked up the Aussie servers too from what I heard

Apparently the fucks over at PoodleCorp are claiming responsibility for the server issues in Pokémon GO, and threatened that they will shut the Pokemon GO servers down on August 1st.

Do these people have anything else to do but hack youtubers through their phones and mess with servers? Honestly, do something with your life.

I don't believe that. Niantic even went out of the way to change the "our servers are down" screen to say it was due to u expected server load

I should clarify that by sick of this game already, I just mean I'm sick of the culture surrounding it now. Not because it's the "in" thing, I'm just getting a little jaded about constantly hearing about it, or seeing idiots running around en mass on videos and what not.

I don't mind if you enjoy it, more power to ya as an original pokemon fan here. Just... idk, seeing articles about it constantly along with it getting shoved in my face is never a fun experience.
