Big gripe I have with this game is that your pokemon don't heal over time. You HAVE to get potions, which means you have to camp the stores. No Pokemon Centers or anything. You'd think they'd put those in since they're a staple of the franchise, but I guess that would conflict with going right back to a gym.

So maybe a full health in 24 hours thing is better.

every time you catch a Pokemon (let's say pidgey) you get dust and a few pidgey candy. You also get pidgey candy when you send one to the Proffesor. With (iirc) 25 pidgey candy you can evolve a pidgey into a pigeoto and give them a huge power boost. With a single candy and some dust you can just raise the power level without evolving

Evolving and leveling up is the same net result. It's best to evolve them as soon as you can. It's not nearly as in depth as the actual main installment games.
