I doubt it would be anywhere near as useful outside of monotype because quagsire and more balanced teams

It might be viable if Thundurus could learn Stockpile. Then Thundurus would become straight up overpowered with Prankster Rest, Stockpile, and Nasty Plot + Special Attack of choice.

I mean, Bulk Up made him an unstoppable bulky physical sweeper, but he still had a weakness to special attacks. Stockpile would make him nigh unkillable.

I was not expecting that at all, great build just for the sheer suprise factor. Stockpile would be amazing

I think Verb mentioned something about another tournament determining who the Champion would be.

It could work in a number of ways. The original plan was to have you all reside as the Elite 4, and to have willing challengers face you all one by one. They would start with Tyger, then Orion, then Simse, then finally you. If they lost a match at any point, they'd have to start all over from Tyger (just like in the games). But if they managed to defeat all of you in a string, they would become the Champion, until a new challenger goes through the same process to dethrone them.

The trouble is--if any of you four wanted to be the champion, I'm not sure how that would work.

I really like that idea.

Would the challenger also be assigned a particular type or be free to choose anything as if they were a real player in the games? That would be interesting fighting a team built to demolish the E4.
