build
Make sure to keep a pipe rifle on you at all times because the ammo for those things is pretty much infinite. Also seeing as you're on Very Hard difficulty be prepared for bullet sponge enemies.

Quote from: Jono on August 21, 2016, 06:53:13 AMThe junk you pick up like duct tape and steel is broken down into materials needed for the crafting systems like weapon mods, armor mods, and settlement stuff. You're gonna need a ton of duct tape if you want to craft weapon mods and so forth. You also have to level up this perk called Gun Nut to gain access to more advanced mods.Weapons in Fallout 4 don't break so you can drop multiple versions of the same weapon unless you want to sell them for caps. You can however break down weapons at the workbench for extra junk materials needed for mods.As for caps, there's a perk in the Luck set which lets you find more caps in nearly everything you loot. There's also side-quests for all the main factions which will allow you to make a lot of caps as well. Setting up shops in settlements will also let you get caps too.How exactly do you break things down? I've just placed it all in the workbench but didn't see an option to turn it into scrap.

Untrue. I run into a base with a Super Sledge. It's much more fun to bludgeon everything to death than ping people with a rifle.
